Stagg Presentation Abstract California Technology Investment Partnership Program (CalTIP) CalTIP provides up to $250,000 in state funds for each company to match federal technology awards. BARTA is the regional agent for the California Technology, Trade and Commerce Agency's Division of Science, Technology and Innovation (DSTI). BARTA is the regional administrator for the California Technology Investment Partnership (CalTIP) grant program. For Northern California, this program offers financial leverage to emerging companies. Biographical Sketch Sharon Stagg's career achievements include construction Manager of commercial interiors for a major real estate developer, and project manager for a major construction firm. She managed new freestanding projects, renovations, and interiors. Her experience includes the complete construction package including bidding, negotiations, contracts, trouble shooting, expediting permits, and project completion follow through. She has also acted as a liaison between property managers, designers-architects-contractors and tenants during construction. Previous positions included Construction Engineer and Construction Coordinator. Currently, in addition to managing the office operations at BARTA, Sharon is coordinating all events that BARTA manages; Overseeing all financial operations as Treasurer, and manages the California Technology Investment Partnership Program and the Executive Mentor Program. She is able to use her extensive project manager and customer service experience in managing both programs. |
