Keynote Presentation:

Gregory Milman, PhD
Director, Office for Innovation and Special Programs Division of Extramural Activities National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, NIH

Gregory Milman is Director of the Office of Innovations and Special Programs in the National institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). He manages NIAID $100 million small business programs and promotes NIAID biodefense opportunities. Dr. Milman is a member of the NIH Trans-Agency Complementary and Alternative Medicine Coordinating Committee, multiple NIH Roadmap Committees, the Board of Directors of the Biotechnology Industry Organization Council of Biotechnology Centers, and Maryland Governor's Commission on the Development of Advanced Technology Business.

Dr. Milman, will present practical lessons in securing SBIR/STTR funding for your start-up. SBIR/STTR can provide funding and validation necessary to launch your venture, but there are tricks to this trade that this session will help you navigate.
